• Knowledge of NC Childcare Rules

• Qualification Letter from DCDEE (secured after a background check)
• Early Childhood Credentials (EDU 119) and/or a degree in related field of study
• CPR/First Aid and ITS SIDS Certifications (These can be completed after hire.)
• Clear Health Screening (physical and mental health, TB Skin Test)
• Preferred age – 21 yrs or older (will consider ages 18-20)

Description of Childcare Teacher Position:

• Create and maintain a safe, nurturing environment supportive of play, teaching and learning
• Build and sustain strong positive, collaborative relationships with children, their parents/caregivers, and preschool and church staff
• Instruct and care for children, implementing the prescribed curriculum
• Provide quality supervision continuously throughout the day
• Follow state and local policies, procedures and lifestyle agreements

Description of Childcare Assistant Position:

• The assistant will support the teacher in the above duties and activities.
• Conduct student health checks (temperature, COVID-19 screening, observation)
• Supervise morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up

• 7:50 – 5:00 (teachers)
• 7:30 – 4:30 (assistants)
